How to start testing the ServiceNow environment for your work
Recently, I had to test out an integration of GitHub App with ServiceNow. ServiceNow, if you are not aware, is a popular tool where many companies use for ticketing system and task automation flow. In a way, it is similar to ZenDesk, but ZenDesk is more used for support tickets while ServiceNow is more used for general automations.
Several times in the past, customers came to ask about ServiceNow integration with GitHub. But those are quite related to a point “how can I start integrating GitHub with ServiceNow.” In that case, I generally point to GitHub Action Marketplace page where they can now find a plenty of GitHub Actions related ServiceNow automation tasks.
And sometimes, you can find GitHub Apps related to certain platforms, too, but it was not showing any GitHub App for ServiceNow.
In this time, a customer had a specific use case where they want to use GitHub App with ServiceNow. ServiceNow has this things called DevOps where they can monitor activities and automates stuffs related to GitHub.
